WHEN TICKETS
GO ON SALE

It’s time for tickets to go on sale and we want to make sure you’re prepped and ready to give you the best chance of securing your seat.

For popular events, there often won’t be enough tickets for everyone who wants one. Be sure to check out our blog post on ways to improve your chances of getting your hands on popular tickets.

FAQs

I joined the queue the moment the sale started – why are there people ahead of me?

Because there can be thousands of people who join the queue at the exact same moment as you did. Once the sale has started, anyone who joins after you (even by just one second) will be placed behind you.

How does the waiting room work?

For some shows, we may open a waiting room which typically opens 15 minutes before the sale starts. So, instead of having to constantly refresh the page, you can relax knowing you’re in the right place for when the sale begins and you’ll automatically join the queue as soon as it opens.

It doesn’t matter what time you join the waiting room as long as it’s before the start of the sale. When the sale begins everyone in there will be placed into the queue (with those who join after this placed at the back).

Why was I kicked out of the waiting room, queue or site?

We know that sometimes ticket sales can be stressful and that seeing an ‘error’ pop up on screen is the last thing anyone wants. While rare, it can happen, so we want you to know why and how to avoid it.

If you receive an ‘error’ or are bumped off the site, this doesn’t mean our site has crashed. Here are some top tips to remember:

  • Sign into your Ticketmaster account.
  • Only sign in from one browser window, one browser tab and one device.
  • Make sure you’re at your device when you reach the front of the queue (if you need to step away, turn up your volume so you hear our notification bell).
  • Make sure you check out within the time given (a time limit is put in place so that everyone gets the chance to buy tickets).

I received Error 401, 403 or 410 – what do they mean?

We’re blocking thousands of bots at every sale and these error codes mean we’re detecting unusual behaviour. Clear your cache and cookies and ensure you aren’t using any VPN software on your device.
