FAQs
What does Ticketmaster make from the sale of a ticket?
We don’t keep anything from the ticket price. We take some of the added fees to cover our operations, with the rest shared between the people putting on the events including venues, festivals, promoters and sports teams.
The percentage of the added fees we take is different for each event.
Who sets the ticket price?
Our event partners set ticket prices.
Who sets the fees?
Fees are typically set by and shared with our event partners – venues, festivals, promoters, and sports teams.
What fees are added on top of the ticket price?
Each event may vary, but you can expect to see a couple of charges which cover the cost of processing your booking from start to finish and getting you into the event.
- Service charge – goes towards customer service, site security, payment provider costs, event staffing, box offices and more.
- Order processing fee – a one-time charge per order covering handling, delivery, technology solutions and security.
- Facility fee – sometimes also known as a ‘venue levy’, this is set by the venue’s box office. We don’t keep any of this fee, it is sent directly to them.
