Bots (short for ‘robots’) are an issue for all websites. When it comes to ticketing, bots try to jump the queue to get hold of as many tickets as possible during a sale.

We continue to make significant investments in the research and development of effective strategies to identify and block bots, stopping them from getting between the artist, team or event and you.

While we can’t go into detail about how we do that (as we don’t want the people using bots to know) we can tell you that in 2023 alone we blocked more than 63 billion bot attempts worldwide, and the number is constantly increasing.

• Not sharing the same phone number with another Ticketmaster account
• Maintaining up to date contact and payment details
